Connection to the mains supply

The hair dryer should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in ✦

accordance with the regulations.

Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on ✦

the rating label of the hair dryer.

This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives. ✦

Important safety instructions

Before using the appliance, the user should read the following instructions ✦

carefully.

Caution: ✦ do not use the appliance near bath tubs, washbasins or any

other receptacle containing water.

Protect the appliance from moisture and splashing water and do not ✦

operate it with wet hands.

In the vicinity of any water source, there is a risk even when the appliance is ✦

switched o . Therefore, always remove the plug from the wall socket after

use, especially if the appliance is being used in a bathroom.

Additional protection is available by  tting an earth-leakage circuit-breaker ✦

with a rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA into your bathroom

installation. Please consult a quali ed electrician.

Electric heating appliances operate at very high temperatures. Do not touch ✦

any part of the appliance except the grip. Otherwise there is a real risk of

burning.

Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair-pieces or wigs, as the heat emitted ✦

might cause damage to the synthetic  bres.

Make sure the air intake and outlet openings are not blocked (e.g. by  ngers ✦

or hair), and that no  u or  bre particles are allowed to accumulate in the

air intake. A blockage in the air- ow system may cause the integral thermal

safety cut-out to switch o the appliance. Should this occur, immediately

disconnect the appliance from the mains power and allow su cient time for

it to cool down before the blockage is removed and the appliance is switched

on again.

Every time the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord as ✦

Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it
